Each item is preceded by its item number.  Please order by item number, or include it when asking questions.

ABOUT ITEM DESCRIPTIONS

I first started writing watch parts lists in 1981.  I try to be critical in my evaluations so as to avoid disappointments or the bother of returns.  I try to follow this format:

Item number
Manufacturer
Size - standard sizes use 'S' for size, millimeter(mm) measurements are the diameter of the main center body of the case
Jewels - if unmarked I will state the minimum with a + if I think there might be more
OF or HC - open face or hunting
LS or PS - lever set or pendant set
SS or DS - single sunk or double sunk
Dial condition - nothing said, dial is good porcelain.  HL, has a hairline or two, not too bad.  Several HL, its a bit worse.  Bad dial, speaks for itself.  A chip is just that, a flake is a little piece off the edge such that no copper shows.
Serial number
General description - will mostly be a listing of damage and missing pieces, I try my best not to miss anything, will be more complete and critical on an expensive piece than on a lower priced item.  If the balance staff is broken or there is some other major problem I usually won't check the mainspring.  If I say the balance staff is broken, it could be that a jewel is broken and the balance is OK– I don’t take them apart to check.  Running means running with pretty good motion to the balance, but please assume you will need to clean.

WE584 - Elgin 18S 7J HC LS HL #13084769 runs, good looking B&B Royal 20year YGF case has no brass showing, hinge pin on front cover is slightly bent so cover opens a bit too far- replacing pin would be a big improvement, also hinge pin holding dust lid should be replaced as someone replaced it with one that is too small,  has glass crystal   $150 PHOTOS

WE531 - Elgin 18S 11J? HC LS tiny HL #1583472 runs but mainspring is broken, good Crescent 15 year YGF case has little wear with no brass showing, no crystal   $150 PHOTOS

WE194 - Elgin 6S 7J OF PS reproduction plastic black dial has some of the white numbering missing #16648249 runs if you put pressure on the center wheel but mainspring is broken, plated base metal case has wear, no crystal   $30 PHOTOS

WH286 - Hamilton 18S 21J OF LS DS #216970 runs, model 940, Illinois Watch Case Co. 10K rolled gold plate case has brass showing on the high points, needs new crystal   $165 PHOTOS

WL897 - Longines 51.4mm outer case diameter 11J+? OF pin setting, broken balance staff, case looks like silver & is in good condition except back hinge is torn off, needs stem & crystal   $30 PHOTOS

WN699 - New York Standard 6S case outer diameter 47mm 7J HC PS HL #4852793 good balance, runs if you hold pressure on mainspring, dirty, YGF case is signed 'Reliable, Guaranteed 20 years', looks like 10 year quality to me, no crystal   $35 PHOTOS

WO738 - Omega 48mm outer case diameter, 38.1mm diameter of movement pillar plate 11J+? HC movement in OF case, poor dial, balance looks OK but very dirty, gun metal case in fair condition, bezel won't quite snap shut, probably not the right case, no crystal   $30 PHOTOS

WS532 - South Bend 0S 7J HC PS fancy dial has blue center with gold dots around the edge & gold hands #675659 runs, very good condition case is signed "SBWCo. guaranteed 20 years", good glass crystal   $140 PHOTOS

WS135 - Swiss fake Dayton Watch Co. standard 18S 7J+? KW KS OF poor dial, broken balance staff, hairspring is bent & jewel on 4th wheel is broken, silveroid case has small pings but should clean up well, needs crystal   $40 PHOTOS

WS399 - Swiss 44.7mm 6J+? OF KW KS silver dial with applied multicolor decoration, ticks a little & runs if you put pressure on center wheel but the mainspring is broken, cylinder escapement, signed on piller plate "JMER Rosse, Geneve" case looks like silver, has moderate wear, hinge on rear cover is somewhat bent from being forced open too far but still closes OK and springs up when the button is pressed, has glass bulls eye type crystal   $75 PHOTOS

WT594 - Tissot 46mm outer case diameter 11J+? OF PS poor metal dial #1500116 good balance & ticks briefly when you hold pressure on mainspring but doesn't stay running, winds OK but setting works poorly, missing screw to hold large winding wheel to mainspring barrel, good steel Tissot signed case has poor plastic crystal   $40 PHOTOS

WW421 - Waltham 6S 15J HC PS numerous HL #11819923 runs if you hold pressure on mainspring, needs cleaning, Keystone 20 year YGF case in very good condition with scalloped edge has brass showing only on bow, no crystal   $80 PHOTOS
 
WW392 - Waltham 6S 7J HC PS dial looks stained and may not clean up #8837278 broken balance staff, 10 year Philadelphia case is OK but front cover has been pushed out from inside, no crystal   $50 PHOTOS
     
WW707 - Waltham 0S 7J HC PS several HL #7037700 broken balance staff, 20 year case in better than average condition, needs liftspring & crystal   $50 PHOTOS

WW323 - E.N. Welch Mfg Co. 70.5mm outer case diameter, paper dial has damage, runs, needs cleaning, case is in average condition except it is missing the outer back cover which reportedly had a Columbus scene, reportedly this large piece was made for the Chicago Exposition in 1893, hands don't match, no crystal   $100 PHOTOS
